    Cruise Destinations & Ports

Çanakkale is a bridge between Anatolia and Europe, the Aegean and the Marmara Sea. It is a meeting point of green and blue, of history and the modern era. Çanakkale is a city that offers a modern lifestyle with lovely people, and at the same time, it is a site that keeps the memory of World War I alive.

The Strait of Çanakkale, extending between the Aegean and Marmara Seas, separates the Gallipoli Peninsula from the city. Ferries allow you to move between the city’s two parts.

Gallipoli, which was host to one of the most dramatic fronts of World War I, is home to numerous monuments and museums commemorating the Battle of Gallipoli. You can visit the battlefields and Anzac Cemeteries here.

The other part of the city is very different. Southwest of the Çanakkale Strait lies the ancient city of Troia, where the legendary Troian War took place and which inspired Homer. The ancient poet wrote about the last 52 day of the of the war in Iliad, one of his two epic poems.

Before or after experiencing the long and intense local history, make sure to visit Çanakkale, a modern city whose center offers entertainment both day and night.

    Çanakkale Kepez Cruise Port

Located on the Dardanelles Strait and the Asian side of Çanakkale, Çanakkale Kepez Cruise Port is 20 kilometers from the strait’s south entrance and 48 kilometers from its north entrance.

After crossing the strait to the Gallipoli Peninsula by ferry, it's possible to spend a full day or half a day exploring the World War I memorials and cemeteries.

It's about a 10-minute walk to the city from the port. Complimentary bus shuttles are available to the city center, which is situated approximately 5 kilometers away.

Cruise excursions from the port take visitors to nearby Troy where one can find the replica of the legendary wooden Trojan Horse, ancient ruins, and many stories about the epic battles of the distant past.
